I made this new character and along the way I found out (sorry, forgot the guys name or I'd give credit to him) how to solo farm droks to power lvl. (I'm sure there's million of ways though, haven't bothered to look on forums).
Anyways, the skills are in the picture...
I just wondered, how fast do you level? I was pretty proud I did it in pretty much one day... Well, it was two days but the first day I didn't really do much, I fell asleep at the computer =o.
There was some rule about not posting name on forum, well it's my name - and I don't mind it being public. So is that ok?
Bored of reading the 55 got nerfed threads, so I hope no one minds me posting this .
Ascended at lvl 10 woot The Superiour absorb and superiour vigor helped a lot I think, at lower levels.
No, the doppleganger only gives you about 200 xp when you kill him, the mission reward however gives you the 50k xp. Its the same as using a scroll when you finish the great northern wall, for example
Trick for you friend, exp is much easier to get at lower levels, waiting untill you are level 16 to ascend will get you right to level 20. Troll farming solo is the way to go for expiriance.
[QUOTE=Niosisw]You have to have someone to help you out and hook you up
Getting into a group at level 10 isn't easy...
And who knows how many level you would have gotten if yo uwould have used a scroll when you ascended
Anyways, this requires actually a lot of help from other people...
and now from what I hear the cay mish can't be run very easily so how are you going to get ascended?[/QUOTE
you can get a runner for free or under 1k to all of the accending mission do the dunes and thirsty easy with henhces and then elona can get a runner for 1k easy i did it with my mesmer at level 7

I don't know, then you waste XP doing that. I find it looks like you get more XP at lower lvl's simply because it takes less XP to level. At high lvl's you can farm solo (like in the picture provided).
At level 16 you can solo at droknars and use scrolls. So ascending seems some what pointless, no? =/. Might as well take use of the 50k XP.

My warrior is level 16 with 15k armor and all, and I can't even seem to solo at droknars without glads defense. If you have any tips than post them here, the lack of attribute points makes it difficult.
I'm very experienced with troll farming, and I must say that tactics is the way to go. Completely maxed out. You can do this by buying an ascalon helm and slapping a superior tactics rune on it, for +4 tactics in helm alone. Here's my build:
Healing: 8
Tactics: 16
Swordsmanship: 10-11 (not entirely necessary, since you're relying heavily on tactics skills)
The Skills:
Gladiator's Defense {E}
Bonneti's Defense
Healing Signet
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Healing Breeze
Mending
-Last spot is free, I usually take sprint
to pass avicara, they are annoying to fight
Ok, now I'm gonna talk about why should you use these skills:
Gladiator's Defense:
This is a must. With tactics at 16, the stance will last 11 seconds and dish out 37 dmg everytime you evade an attack. It's especially effective when trolls use Battle Rage, they'll attack faster, meaning you'll likely dish out more damage. On average, most trolls are at about half hp once glad's is finished.
Bonneti's Defense:
Two purposes: energy refill and evade. This is the "downtime" where you're not really dealing adjacent dmg. This is the time where you refill on energy. Because of high tactics, you can squeeze two Bonneti's in by the time Glad's defense recharges.
Healing Signet:
Primarily used for emergencies. Trolls can interrupt (and they have been doing so more often), but it's a 25% chance and it's very likely they'll miss. With tactics maxed out, heal sig restores 159 hp, good for quick recovery.
Riposte + Deadly Riposte:
With recent updates, these two do sick damage. With maxed tactics, riposte hits for 84 dmg, and deadly about 72. If an unlucky troll gets smacked with both, it's instant -50% hp for them. Use them when Glad's defense is activated and when Bonneti's is about to run out, sneak both in to speed things up a bit.
Healing Breeze:
Your main source of healing. Activate it right around when glad's defense ends. With bonneti's + healing breeze, you'll be restoring energy and health. With only 8 in healing prayers (+mending in the background), you get about 8 pips of regeneration. Once bonneti's starts to wear out, hit healing breeze again and reavticate bonneti's. Sit tight until glad's defense is up, and do it all over again ^_^
Mending:
One major purpose, possibly two, depending on your shield of choice. It provides a constant 3 pips of regeneration, so it's useful at that. If you have a +hp while enchanted shield, then that's covered.
Again I take sprint just to run past avicara. They're pretty annoying, since the Brave use pure strike, a skill that completely ignores stances. The Fierce just pummel you by stacking like 10 skills on top of each other. 3 Fierces can get you in trouble. Plus they really don't drop anything special, besides runes once in a great while.
Equipment:
Ok so why sword over axe? Two reasons. One, you can use the ripostes. And they do a great deal of damage. Trolls tend to interrupt axe skills very often, especially cyclone axe. I know from experience ^_^. You'll basically be prolonging the time it takes to take a mob out. Yes you can use cyclone in a stance, but when it comes down to it, cyclone axe doesn't really make the fight faster. I've tried both, and sword is the way to go.
Sword mods don't really matter much. A barbed hilt possibly, to lengthen deadly riposte's bleeding duration. Zealous is overkill, since you use Bonneti's for energy recharge. I personally use a vampiric mod, it helps a bit with healing, plus it's a bit of extra damage.
Shields, anything with +health and/or dmg reduction is perfect. A Malion Shield (+45 hp, dmg -2 while enchanted) is absolutely perfect for this farm.
With this build, you can take on 7 or so trolls at once, the maximum being about 12. It's very effective and fast. Once you get the hang of timing the ripostes inbetween the stances and all, you can clear the cave out in about 4 to five minutes. Toss a scroll in, and you've become an effective powerleveler ^_^. The one possible flaw in this build is the downtime you experience from bonneti's, since using a skill with deactivate it.

Ur right on tactics is the way to go...however, an axe warrior is the best way to go for this farm, as u can take on way more than 12 trolls (umm..12? thats...ummm...not very good)
I wont bother regurgitating the build, except just look at the first post for that build (minus healing signet and in for something offensive is reccomended).
Heh...sorry, but I wouldn't want to be power leveled by you if the max u can take is 12...
However, back on topic, I agree with what someone said that it is hard to find a group at level 10. The best way to level is go to 16 and have guild members help you through missions (or...get power leveled to level 20, or even just do all the missions through the game to save time for later- if you know what I mean ;]).
BTW, not everyone is a warrior, so troll farming may not be the solution. However, if you can find a warrior in ur guild to tank for you, ur all set. Scrolls definetly speeds things up (a well timed berserkers or slayers is ur best friend)
With missions and some help for power leveling, my necro was level 20 in one week. I dont go for leveling in 2 days lol...thats too quick.
I've never tried going past 12 trolls or so. Taking on too many at once, and they'll get through stances. It's effortless to do it in two groups; the one standing in the middle of the cave, and then the groups with the two bosses.
